Deuteronomy 12:30Deuteronomy 12:30

너는 스스로 삼가서 네 앞에서 멸망한 그들의 자취를 밟아 올무에 들지 말라 또 그들의 신을 탐구하여 이르기를 이 민족들은 그 신들을 어떻게 위하였는고 나도 그와 같이 하겠다 하지 말라

  • Bold, larger (ˈ) = say it strong and a little longer — the stressed syllable.
  • Faint = weak and short (a reduced vowel). Don't give every syllable equal weight.
  • Tiny 으 · 트 · 스 = barely voiced. English has no vowel there — stop on the consonant.
  • Whole word faint (the, of, and, to…) = light and quick in a sentence; stress the content words.
  • Small f v θ ð r = sounds Korean doesn't have — f: upper teeth on the lower lip; v: the same, voiced; θ/ð: tongue tip between the teeth; r: tongue curled back, touching nothing.
